On 15 December 2012 I wrote a review of ‘Skyfall’ for the school magazine. I gave a short description of the plot and mentioned about the notorious actors who were in that movie. Here is a transcript:
Skyfall (review by Adrian Waters, L6-B)
“Skyfall” is the 23rd James Bond movie, celebrating 50 years of the cinematic franchise, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig (as 007) and Judi Dench (as M).
In this film Bond gets accidentally shot by a colleague during a mission in Turkey and is believed to be dead. He returns when MI6 is under attack and is ordered to track down and capture the new menace. While doing so he discovers that there is a dark secret behind the enemy’s motives and that his and M’s lives are at risk.
This has to be one of the best Bond movies of all times. Gripping, emotional, funny at times and action-packed as usual this is the biggest UK film ever and its theme tune (sung by Adele) has been nominated for Best Original Song in the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. I recommend it to every 007 fan and I’m sure that they won’t be disappointed.
